Yorkshire Pudding

Yorkshire pudding is a British food consisting of eggs, flour, and milk. It is one of the most versatile food which can be served in several ways and accompanying many dishes but it is usually served with roast vegetables or meat. Yorkshire pudding is a basic kind of dish you can experiment with this and discover your way of serving.

Ingredients:

100g plain flour
3 large eggs or increase quantity                                
225 ml of milk
4 tbsp sunflower oil
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper


Method:

Preheat the oven to 220C.

Mix the flour and salt and pepper together into a bowl, slowly add the eggs mix with a whisk. Now gradually pour in the milk mix carefully to avoid lumps, this can be done with a wooden spoon. Put the batter to rest for 2 hours or over the night.

For this pudding, you need either four-hole Yorkshire pudding tin or 12-hole deep bun tin whichever is available. Pour in 1 tablespoon oil into each hole and transfer the tray to the oven for 5 minutes until the oil is piping hot.

 Carefully remove the tin from the oven and quickly pour the batter between the holes equally and put the tin in the oven and cook for 20-25 minutes until turn golden-brown and well-risen.

Take out the tin from the oven and serve immediately.
