Apple Cinnamon Cake

In this autumn season, we will make the moist and fluffy Apple Cinnamon Cake loaded with fresh apples to welcome the winters. This Apple Cinnamon Cake has a great taste that you would assume the spadework done to bring this taste but it’s not true; it will take only 60 minutes with a simple recipe and easily available ingredients; also you do not need any preparation beforehand, once you will try this apple cinnamon cake recipe will make it several times.

Apple and cinnamon itself a great combination makes this tea cake incredibly tasty, either serve a little warm this apple cinnamon cake or with a scoop of ice-cream doesn’t make you bother for frosting. I have used freshly chopped apples but you can caramelize them to add in the cake and more the merrier add some dry fruits; almonds, walnut, raisins. This cake has a grainy texture and white color. If you want to make it egg-less cake either use flax-seeds powder or unsweetened applesauce.

1 ½ cup all-propose flour (substitute with whole wheat flour)

1/2 cup butter, softened

2/3 cup white sugar

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking powder

2 eggs

1 ½ tsp extract

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup milk

1 apple, peeled and sliced

a pinch of salt (optional)



Grease and line with the parchment paper 9x5- inch loaf pan or round pan whichever is available; preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. using the electric mixer beat the white sugar and butter until smooth and pale in color also add the eggs one after another and add the vanilla extract beat until incorporate well, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon in another bowl.


Sift the all-purpose flour and baking powder, baking soda, and stir into the wet mixture, add milk to bring the needed consistency. Pour half of the cake batter into the pan and place half of the apples over the cake batter sprinkle half of the mixer of brown sugar and cinnamon over it. Top the remaining cake batter  over the apple layer and top this layer too with remaining apple and cinnamon powder and sugar. Lightly pat the top layer.


Bake into the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, check the doneness by following the toothpick test inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool completely on a cooling rack, cut into the slices, and serve a little warm also you can serve it with a dollop of ice-cream. Store into an air-tight container at room temperature for 2-3 days for more than that better to store into the fridge.
